Physical Description: Ashlin is tall and thin. She has blonde hair that falls to just below her shoulder blades and hazel eyes that look like they almost sparkle. When not in her school uniform, she can be found sitting back in a pair of comfy jeans or sweats and a tank top or t-shirt. She's all about comfort, but needs to look cute in doing it. She has slightly muscular body from the dance lessons she took before entering Hogwarts. Also, she has a small, almost unnoticeable scar on her left cheek from where she was bit by a dog when she was four, and a large gash on her stomach from where she caught a sharp rock while surfing on vacation with her family.

Personality: Ashlin is a naturally good hearted girl, usually caring for others above herself. She has been known to get into trouble from time to time as well as seem somewhat conceited in some situations. She is not as shy as she was in her first few years of school, having never attended a coed institution before, but she has grown into her surroundings. The most important thing in her life is her family, especially her sister, Karamie. Ashlin has become excellent at defensive spells and her favorite classes at Hogwarts are DADA and Charms. She is pretty decent in the rest of her classes as well, but does boast of her grades. She does struggle slightly in Transfiguration. Also, she is very talented at more common, muggle like skills such as writing and drawing. Usually can be found doing one of the two in free time.

Likes: Ashlin loves being with her baby sister. She's her life when she's not at school. She also likes sitting down by the lake on nice days and when it's too cold, she sits by the fire in the common room, cuddling with her cat Calypso. She enjoys Potions, DADA, and Charms.

Dislikes: Herbology. She hates smokers. She hates the topic of death, after her own mother's death. She dislikes her stepmother as well.

Family and History: Ashlin was born in the United States and at the age of three, she moved to Europe with her parents when her dad got a position at a high end law office. Her family moved into a large estate in a country setting. Although Ashlin grew up having money, in her child years she was raised to understand that it's not everything, and to get a good lifestyle you have to earn it. For her first schooling years, she attended a lavish prep school, while living at home with her mother and father.

On her eleventh birth, she received her Hogwarts letter. Her mother was beaming as Ashlin opened her letter and her father sat silently. At first, she wasn't sure as to what to make of it, her mother, being a witch, had never disclosed magic to her, deciding it better to wait to see if she ever developed her own magical abilities. With her Hogwarts letter, she learned of her mother's powers and that her father had none, being a muggle. She had known there was something different about her from day one, but now things had fallen into place.

She attended Hogwarts come that September and loved her first years there. She loved being on the magical grounds of the school. The summer after her second year, she had been home for no more than a few weeks when her mother, who was pregnant at the time, went into labor early, and died after Ashlin's baby sister was born. Her little sister, Karamie, was perfect and healthy, which Ashlin was glad for, but it left her heart broken at the loss of her mother and she felt as though a part of her magical side was gone forever. Hardly wishing to return to school in the fall for her third year, she boarded the train with a heavy heart, waving goodbye to her baby sister and father as the train pulled away. She did poorly at the start of her third year, but bounced back after a letter from her father indicated that apparently her baby sister had shown an indication of magical abilities, and that was when Ashlin knew that everything was going to be ok. A part of her mother was still around within her sister.

In the summer she loved to be with her Karamie and her father. She had even begun to try and explain Hogwarts to Karamie, choosing to not exclude her from that life even if she never got to attend there when she got older. The summer before her fifth year, she celebrated her sisters third birthday and her father's remarriage to a muggle woman name Elaine Bansin. Ashlin disliked this union because she felt as though her mother's memory was being replaced, but decided to make due with it. Ashlin then was under strict orders from her father to not use any magic for the time being, although she was not allowed to use it anyway outside of school for another year. Just before she was to head back to Hogwarts, she had a slight slip with her wand and her stepmother found out of her abilities. A controversy arose and it left Ashlin extremely glad that she be returning to school. She looked forward to year away so her father could explain things in full to his new wife.
